We’re launching new chapters of the Cannabis Marketing Association in California and we’re also producing some cool, informative events – events that you need to be a part of.
Here’s the scoop: The Cannabis Marketing Association, started in Boulder, is expanding to the Bay Area and Southern California. Additional cities are also being encouraged to set up their own local chapters (we’ll help) with the goal of building local communities in which cannabis entrepreneurs can cultivate effective and responsible marketing and PR practices through speaker events, workshops, and networking.
California’s inaugural events will feature award-winning freelance journalist and best-selling author David Downs (Wired, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and Scientific American). David will share professional tips for cannabis brands trying to reach journalists to spread their message.
We are actively planning events for October, November, and December and will be announcing speakers and dates soon. We are also looking for active involvement, be it for co-chairing or speaking or just helping out. There is also a tie-in with the NCIA as leadership from each chapter is working with the NCIA on launching the “Marketing Standards Council,” and you’ll also be hearing more about that soon.
