Microsoft gets into the game
KIND Financial, the leader in technology for cannabis compliance, has announced the launch of KIND Government Solutions with Microsoft Corp. to acquire government-facing contracts for seed to sale tracking. Microsoft selected KIND to participate in its newly created Microsoft Health and Human Services Pod for Managed Service Providers. The goal of this relationship is to leverage each company's resources to provide State, County, and Municipalities with purpose built solutions for track and trace ('seed to sale' in the cannabis industry) technology.
HelloMD on the move up
HelloMD, the leading digital healthcare platform for medical marijuana patients, announced that more than 100 cannabis retail, product and delivery companies have embedded its white label doctors service into their websites. The streamlined medical / retail experience brings discrete delivery of legally compliant cannabis directly to patients everywhere. "As both demand and competition increases, medical cannabis retailers are seeking better tools for on-ramping and retaining their patients," said Larry Lisser, Head of Business Development for HelloMD. "The HelloMD 'patient compliance as a service' has literally changed the way dispensaries and online collectives connect with patients, by turning what was traditionally an obstacle into a valuable marketing opportunity."
IoT and cannabis, finally
After three years in development, gro.io launched the world's first app-controlled, intelligent hydroponic system. gro.io's automated growing platform combines a powerful computer with sensors, valves and pumps, making it easy for everyone to grow hydroponically. "While both attitudes and laws around marijuana are changing rapidly, most people still view growing their own as a difficult and time-consuming process," said gro.io Founder Doug Slemmer. "We're going to change this. Our smart, fully integrated hydroponic system minimizes the time, complexity and knowledge required to grow just about anything."
